Martin Hyde – UK Conceptual Painter and Abstract Artist

Martin Hyde is a UK-based conceptual painter and abstract artist with over 20 years of practice. His paintings explore identity, masking, and shifting states of self through layered abstraction and fragments of figuration.Nationally exhibited and collected by Claridge’s London (three works), Hyde has been shortlisted for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize (London, 2017), selected for the RBSA Open (Birmingham, 2018 & 2019), profiled in Flux Review, and served as cover artist for the International Journal of Art Therapy. His paintings appear on album and single covers for Lau, Kris Drever, Dan Whitehouse, Staran, The Little Unsaid, and Joan as Police Woman.
